Putting the S in L&D

Strategy

A common problem with training is that it's reactive. It's frequently rolled out to solve specific one-off needs or to check a box. Typically companies provide training on topic after topic but fail to connect that learning to the long-term strategic needs of the organization. Then as a company's needs evolve, and people experience situations on the job that are different than training, they find it challenging to translate what they learned into real work. That gap can leave someone feeling uncertain and ill-equipped to handle the challenges they face. And when someone isn't sure what to do, they fall back to what they know, missing the mark of sustained behavior change that drives companies forward.

Scalability

When most people think about training, they think about content. They think about what needs to be taught and how they'll teach it. Content is the building block of a training solution, but to truly offer behavior-changing Learning and Development, companies need to think about more than just content. They need to identify right-sized solutions. Ones they can scale and ultimately sustain. Right-size solutions work for where the business is today and where it will be tomorrow.

Sustainment

Let's admit it Learning and Development gets a bad rap. Ask anyone who's participated in training, and you'll hear a story about how they took a class that either missed the mark entirely or didn't lead to real, measurable behavior change and business impact. Basically, they're saying that after spending all that time and money, change wasn't sustained, it didn't provide value, it wasn't worth the investment. At KnowledgeForce Consulting, we get it. We want to help you make the most of your investment in people, so we work with you to identify ways to sustain behavior change from the start.

Strategic Learning Plans

Strategic L&D Makes a Difference

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

What is a Learning Strategic Plan?

A Learning Strategic Plan is like a map and a packing list rolled into one. The map charts the course for how to get to where you want to be. The packing list makes sure you have what you need for the journey and the destination. So, let's get charting and packing!

New Hire Training

Successful New Employee Training

Successful onboarding requires a shared commitment between the company, manager, colleagues, and new team members. It takes time and patience to teach and learn a company's culture and processes, and to develop organization-specific skills for success.

Manager’s Action Guide

Studies have shown that new team members can reach full productivity up to 25% faster if their manager actively engages with them and helps them get up to speed.
